With more than 20 cultural venues including: art galleries, museums, theatres and performing arts centers, two national sports teams and more than two dozen bars and nightlife hot spots, it's no wonder there are more than 13 million visits to Downtown Jacksonville each year.
Arts & Culture
Downtown Jacksonville is Northeast Florida's center of arts and culture. Keep your art appreciation current at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville, or treat the kids to an exciting lesson in science at the Museum of Science & History (MOSH). Downtown Jacksonville is also home to a number of independent art galleries and small museums to keep you educated, enlightened and entertained.
A number of performing arts organizations call Downtown home, including the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, the Ritz Chamber Players, Theatreworks and the FCCJ Artist Series. From music to theatre to off Broadway shows, Downtown is the stage for performing arts in Jacksonville.

Sports
Home to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Jacksonville Suns, Downtown Jacksonville is a fantastic southeast sports 
hub. In addition to our home teams, Downtown hosts a number of college football and basketball games, including Florida-Georgia weekend, the Gator Bowl, and the River City Showdown. Downtown Jacksonville has also hosted a number of other signature sports events, including ACC Baseball, ACC Football, NCAA basketball, NBA preseason games and, of course, Super Bowl XXXIX.

Nightlife
Chill out Downtown with a glass of wine and some great music at Poppy Love Smoke or heat up the night with great dancing and drink specials on Bay Street's Dive Bar, Mark's Downtown Club/Lounge or The Ivy Ultra Bar.
Party in the Urb Garden at the Burrito Gallery, get your groove on at The Twisted Martini or do the two-step at Maverick's Rock n' Honky Tonk.
Looking for the live music scene? Kick back with a drink and some appetizers and enjoy free live music at The Jacksonville Landing or check out TSI on Bay Street or River City Brewing Company on the Southbank.
If you're looking for something a little more laid back, grab a pint and wind up a top for a game of skittles at London Bridge Eatery & Pub or shoot some pool at Cafe 331.
