Downtown Parking Lots
Downtown Jacksonville has more than 43,000 public parking spaces, which include garage parking, metered street parking and peripheral parking.
More than 1,600 metered parking spaces can be found along Downtown streets. These spaces are free every weekday evening after 6 p.m. and on weekends and holidays. During weekdays until 6 p.m., metered parking costs 25 cents for 30 minutes.
The City of Jacksonville has installed new solar-powered meters that accept both credit cards and coins in many high-traffic areas, including around City Hall, the county courthouse, Main Library, The Jacksonville Landing and along Laura Street. Additionally, many Downtown meters allow two-hour parking for the convenience of Downtown visitors.
